Local Election 2021

Our Conservative vision for Withington
The COVID lockdown has been a difficult time for many struggling Withington businesses and residents, as well as putting particular pressure on our local student population.
As your Conservative representative, I am determined to build back better in Withington, working closely with local businesses - particularly in the hospitality sector - to help them recover and keep Withington a vibrant place to live and work.
A Conservative priority is to crack down on crime. Under a Labour mayor, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has been put under special measures. Scandalously, 220 crimes a day - and 1 in 4 violent crimes - were left unreported and £27 million of public money spent on an IT system that was an operational disaster.
Conservative councillors in Manchester will get a grip on crime in Manchester, working with GMP to reduce the burglaries, car break-ins and dog thefts which blight our daily lives.

I am also determined to improve our green spaces, which have been such a blessing to us all during the COVID lockdown, but have been badly run down under Labour. In Ladybarn Park, I will secure funding for more park benches, bins and better maintenance.

On May 6, YOUR vote can have a critical difference to the political future of Manchester. Do not accept yet another year of abuse and neglect of our city under Labour.

Vote Conservative and let’s foster a new age of pride and opportunity in Manchester.

(Cameron Cosh)
