Caroline is a Mancunian and has spent most of her life living and working in the Trafford area of Manchester. After gaining her first degree at the University of Exeter, Caroline studied law and ethics at the University of Manchester whilst working as a nursing assistant at Trafford General Hospital. Caroline trained to be a secondary school teacher with Teach First - a graduate teacher training programme.

Caroline taught Religious Studies and Citizenship for two years and worked alongside various charitable groups such as Save the Children, No Smoking Day, Terrence Higgins Trust and Alive and Kicking.

Having had experience within nursing and teaching, Caroline worked for the Conservative Party as in Intern and then as an assistant within the European Office. Caroline now works as a policy adviser to the new Conservative Group in Europe specialising in women's rights, civil liberties and justice and home affairs.

In her spare time Caroline enjoys swimming, learning languages - Caroline is currently attempting to learn French and she has just recently taken part in a fundraising walk for the Christie hospital.

Caroline hopes to use her experience in the public service sector to campaign for better schools and hospitals by ensuring that frontline professionals are put back in charge of services and the mountain of costly and unnecessary targets are scrapped.
